Twigs & Leaves was established in October 1998 by David Erickson and Kaaren Stoner, husband and wife. Following the two extensions within the century old building on Main Street, the gallery now occupies about 3000 square feet in two floors.

On March 19, 2007, John and Carrie Keith purchased the gallery. The new owners moved to Waynesville from Northwest Florida immediately establishing ownership and residency. At this time the business took the name Nature’s Inspirations, Inc. dba Twigs and Leaves Gallery.

Carrie Keith previously owned a garden shop in Destin, Florida making the attraction to Twigs and Leaves a natural partnership. John Keith brought to the enterprise over 32 years of commercial banking knowledge and civic involvement. Together, the two love being in the woods hiking, camping, fishing … appreciating “nature’s inspirations.”
